International Society of Lymphology Presidential Prizes

The International Society of Lymphology Presidential Prize is awarded to young lymphologists to allow them to be able to participate in the 22nd International Congress of Lymphology.

  • ISL Presidential Prize valued at USD $1,000

Nominees must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a Presidential Prize:

  • Currently be in training or
  • Be within five years of having completed training (Ph D/Medical Residency/Fellowship)

Prize Winners will also be required to:

  • Register and attend the 22ISL Congress in Sydney
  • Submit a manuscript for publication in the congress proceedings and present at the 22ISL Congress

June Ellen Loney Education and Research Fund Scholarships

The June Ellen Loney Education and Research Fund Scholarship is aimed at providing an opportunity for Lymphoedema Therapists to learn more of the treatment and management of lymphoedemas from the national and international experts at the Congress though the attendance at its sessions and have an opportunity to present the results of interesting case studies.

There are a number of scholarships available for Lymphoedema Therapists to attend the International Congress of Lymphology to be held in Sydney.

  • Full registration Scholarship valued at AUD $1,000
  • Half registration Scholarship valued at AUD $500

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a scholarship:

  • Be currently treating Lymphoedema patients in Queensland, Australia.

Application Process: The following information needs to be submitted in order to be considered for one of these scholarships. All applications will be reviewed by the scientific committee.

  • Preference will be given to those submitting a case study for presentation at the congress.
  • Presenters of case studies of interesting patients will have 5 minutes each to present on Friday 25 September 2009. These oral presentations are meant for the presentation of cases for which there has been an unusually good, poor or unexpected outcome. The aim is to inform others and for all to learn form these experiences.
  • Case studies will not be critically reviewed by the audience!

Requirements

  • A brief CV (not more than 2 pages)
  • An indication of how (if you are successful), the scholarship would help you, your clinic/practice (or group area where you work) and particularly how it would help your patient base.
  • An indication of whether you wish to be considered for the full Scholarship or the half scholarship or both.
  • Outline details of the case study you will present at the congress (if you intend to present one)

Scholarship Winners will also be required to:

  • Register and attend the 22ISL Congress in Sydney

Flinders Medical Centre Volunteers Scholarships

The Flinders Medical Centre Volunteers Scholarship is open to young researchers in the area of lymphatics/lymphology.

  • The Flinders Medical Centre Volunteers Scholarship is valued at AUD $1,000

Nominees must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a scholarship:

  • Be a current medical/nursing students or
  • Current masters or Ph D candidates and
  • Resident of South Australia

Preference will be given to those presenting their research findings at the congress.

Requirements

  • A brief CV (not more than 2 pages)
  • An indication of how (if you are successful), the scholarship would help you in your current research and your future career in Lymphology or related areas
  • Outline details of the paper you intend to present at the congress.

Scholarship Winners will also be required to:

  • Register and attend the 22ISL Congress in Sydney
